About a year ago, I came to a point where I realized I was not happy with the job I was working at.
I was working at a regular 9 to 5, and the fact was that I was helping someone else grow their business, while I could be spending my energy and time building mine.
At that point, the reality was that I needed an income, hence the reason I took that job, but I knew there had to be a different way to go about it.

I earn over $1,500/month with my blog. If you’re interested in making some extra money from your laptop, you may find it interesting to start your own blog. I’ve created an easy step-by-step guide where I will guide you through the process of getting hosting and setting up your blog ready to make money. I’ve also included a special hosting discount link (only available through my link) which will not only give you a huge discount, but also a FREE domain).
So, for the next few months after I had that realization, I spent a lot of time exploring the internet, and trying to figure out different ways that I could make money from home.
I wanted the comfort of being able to work from home, and I knew that having your own business was one of the more profitable ways to go about it.
I discovered so many different ways you can earn money from home, and I’ve listed all of the ones I considered to be worth it and profitable down below.
I also knew that the first few months would be the hardest, especially if I wanted to start my own business.
So with that in mind, I continued exploring for ways to keep myself going in the meantime, while I was building my own business, and this is what I found.
Different Ways You Can Make Money From Home
There are a few different ways you can make money from home, and while not all methods may be profitable, fun and exciting all together, I did my best to try and only list ways that have some sort of combination of those 3 requirements.
Not all ways may be fun, but could be profitable.
Without further ado, let’s have a look at the list we’ve put together.
You can work for someone else from home, like for example:
- Cleaning The Internet ($700/Month)
- Sell Your Smartphone Photos ($100/Month)
- Rate User Experience for Usertesting.com
You can start your own physical business from home, like these for example:
- Dog Washer
- Bookkeeper ($60/Hour)
- Sell Stuff On Craigslist ($500/Month)
- Sell Stuff On eBay
- Sell Stuff On Amazon
- Personal Trainer
Or, you can start an online business from home, like these:
- Start A Blog ($1,500/Month)
- Fiverr ($1,000+/Month)
- Write An Ebook
- Create An eCourse
- Become A Virtual Assistant
Or, you can be a bit creative and do work like:
- Work For Uber ($2,000/Month)
- Make Money Via Smartphone Apps ($500/Month)
- Hug A Stranger ($2,400/Month)
- Talk English To Chinese Students ($2,400/Month)
- Rent Out Your Car With Turo ($1,000/Month)
The list above is a combination of profitable, fun and creative ways I’ve found online that people make money.
For myself, I’ve decided blogging is the way to go.
I earn over $1,500 in passive income every month, and my revenue only keeps on increasing.
I personally thought starting a physical business and dealing with physical products would require me to have some sort of a start up capital, which I didn’t have at the time, hence I gravitated towards an online business.
With my current business growing and increasing in revenue, I may just think of ways to integrate physical products as I’ve discovered that’s still the way to go if you’re looking to make big bucks, but as for now I’m very happy with the choice I made.
I can work from home, on my laptop, and if I choose to not work for a few days I still keep on earning the same if not more. I can go on vacation or simply take a break from life, and my earnings will continue to stay the same.
